Fray resistant silica fabric

TEXSil® Silica fabrics give superior protection from weld slag and welding sparks in hot work protection and meet military certificate specifications.

Product Description
TEXSil® amorphous Silica fabrics are high temperature fabrics used for a wide range of insulation and protection applications such as welding curtains, welding blankets and welding pads. TEXSil® has a minimum silicon dioxide content of 96% for optimum performance. TEXSil® Silica fabrics can be fabricated into many forms to withstand continuous temperatures up to 1,800°F (980°C) for various periods of time.

TEXSil® Silica Fabrics are available with our standard proprietary surface treatment for improved handling and fray resistant properties.

*Welding Curtain is a heat resistant fabric designed to be placed directly in the vicinity of a hot work operation. Welding curtains are intended for use in vertical applications with light to moderate exposures such as that resulting from chipping, grinding, heat treating, sand blasting and light horizontal welding. They are designed to prevent sparks from escaping a confined area.

Notes:

1. Roll length is 50 yards, and roll width is 36 inches. Other roll lengths are available.

2. Silica fabrics can meet Military Specifications upon request.

3. A light hydrocarbon coating is applied for improved handling at low temperatures.

4. Silica fabrics are amorphous textiles, and contain no asbestos or ceramic fibers.
