Filament basalt tape
Description
- Produced of Filament basalt yarns, smooth touch
- An alternative to asbestos and ceramic based textiles
- Available with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) to facilitate easy installation
- Good rot, mildew, deteriorate, acids resistance and tensile strength
- Low coefficient of thermal expansion
- Used to wrap exhaust pipe and hose.
- Used at 1200¡ãF / 648¡ãC continuous, maintains integrity at temperatures up to 1800¡ãF / 982¡ãC
Common applications including:
Thermal insulation and heat protection pipes, flexible tubes, electrical cables, sealing joints of ovens and boiler doors, stoves, fireplaces and expansion joints.
